Let me share your journey to optimal well-being
Psycho-educational assessments are undertaken to assist in understanding an individual's cognitive profile and identify learning difficulties, giftedness and/or other learning-related concerns. Every individual has a unique profile and I firmly believe in discovering the key to maximising the learning potential of every client.
Navigating the world can present additional challenges for children and adults on the Autism Spectrum. With the correct diagnosis, intervention and support, we can help make the world not so "prickly" and uncomfortable to enable individuals with ASD live their best possible lives and show the world the incredible gifts they most often have. Autism assessments are conducted to determine whether a child, adolescent or adult meets criteria for a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a comprehensive process, involving a multi-disciplinary team, which varies depending on the age of the person undertaking the assessment.
Life can be a bit bumpy at times. All too often, people battle on for extended periods of time trying to manage the turbulence alone. Counselling provides the opportunity to work through the rough times in a supportive, non-judgemental environment using proven psychological techniques. You will learn the skills to manage difficult emotions and triggering situations and move towards living your best life.
I work using a variety of therapy modalities, dependent on an individual's unique circumstances. I am skilled with CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness-based therapies, Strength-based therapy and Schema therapy.
The "ADHD brain" presents a unique and often fascinating array of challenges. Many clients whom I have had the privilege of working with over the years, initially came to me believing their opportunities in life were limited by ADHD and often expressed a strong sense of frustration and poor self-worth. Through the coaching process, I aim to assist people of all ages with ADHD to create structures, routines, strategies, skills and self-acceptance to hep them move forward with feeling fulfilled and satisfied with their lives.
ADHD coaches work with clients to create structures, support, skills and strategies to help them move forward with fuller and more satisfying lives. The coaching process also assists clients to set and remain accountable for achieving their goals, provide support when encountering obstacles, address core ADHD-related issues such as time management, organization, self-esteem, anxiety and clarity of thought.
